The franchisor mostly provides the franchisee with training, marketing materials, and ongoing support in exchange for a percentage of the franchisee’s sales which may vary depending from franchisee to franchisee.

Types of Franchisees:

There are generally two types of franchisees:

  1. Single-Unit Franchisee:    A single-unit franchisee is an individual or a group of individuals who own and operate a single franchise unit. They are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business and ensuring that it runs smoothly. Multi-unit franchisees benefit from economies of scale and can spread their risk across multiple locations.

Both types of franchisees typically enter into a franchise agreement with the franchisor, which outlines the terms and conditions of the relationship between the two parties.
